Fun Facts about Me!
My Favorite color is pink.
As a kid, I loved lima beans and root beer.
My favorite books are the All-of-a Kind Family Series by Sydney Taylor.
I love Broadway musicals.
I enjoy all kinds of arts and crafts and dream about having my own craft room.
I am the only sibling in my family who was born in California.
I had my tonsils taken out when I was four, and I was released from the hospital early for "good behavior." The doctors knew I would eat ice cream without being reminded.
I was on a TV game show with my Campfire Girl Troop.
In elementary school I played the Cheshire Cat in Alice and Wonderland.
I was on the newspaper staff in Junior High.
My favorite dessert is a hot fudge brownie sundae.
I love watching soccer, but I never played. I am an official "afraid of the ball" girl.
My family dogs include two Field Spaniels, Chester and Oliver, and a little white Bichon Frise named Chloe. Chloe is the boss.
I am allergic to cats.

Fun Facts about Soccer

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world.

In North America the sport is called "soccer" but the rest of the world calls the sport "football."

It is estimated that more than 7 million school-age children play soccer in the US.

Although popularized in Britain, the origins of soccer can be traced back to ancient China 4,000 years ago.

The first "real" soccer game took place in Derby, England.

In the 1400's soccer was banned in England because it was too violent.

The word "soccer" is derived from the word "association."

The referee whistle was introduced in 1878. Before that, referees waved a handkerchief to make calls.

In 1908 soccer became an Olympic sport.

The first World Cup Tournament was in 1930.

Soccer made its television debut in 1958.

Over 80% of the world's soccer balls are made in Pakistan.
